Asset class

In order to structure the huge supply of securities and other investments, they are divided into asset classes. The most important are shares, bonds, commodities, real estate and cash. Cryptocurrencies are also an asset class in their own right. How one allocates one's capital to the various asset classes has a great influence on the risk of an investment and can be more definitive for stock market success than the selection of securities within the asset classes.
