Yes, as soon as your account has been opened, the interest is guaranteed for the selected term. For example: If you invest €10,000 for a term of 1 year at 2.75% p.a.*, you will receive a fixed and guaranteed interest payment of €275 at the end of the term.
At maturity, your principal and earned interest are automatically paid out either to your Overnight, Broker clearing or reference account. If you enable auto-renewal, the interest and principal will be reinvested automatically for the same term. We will notify you before it renews. By default, auto-renewal is disabled.
Yes, you can also open fixed-term accounts for children.
To do this, first create a Scalable Kid’s account. You can then add the Kid’s Fixed-term account under: Home > Add new product > For my child > Fixed-term account. You can flexibly deposit money into the Kid's fixed-term account from your own Overnight or broker clearing account.
Yes, up to 5 fixed-term accounts can be created. You choose the term for each account.
You can fund your fixed-term accounts using either your Broker clearing account or your Overnight account.
